The Julie Dilemma

Okay, this post is all about y'all's opinions. I'm gonna need 'em. So...

If you didn't know, this is Julie. She was my very first 18" doll. I got her on Christmas in 2009, I believe.

Well, anyway, the reason she has duct tape on her is, her leg broke off. We can't send her to the doll hospital anymore, because Madame Alexander sold their company and closed down their doll hospital.

I can't use Julie at all, the duct tape isn't working anymore and there's no way to fix it. I was thinking about just putting her away in a box for safekeeping.
What do you think I should do? Please comment down below your suggestions.

New AG Items and My Opinion: Part 3

Hey there! Here's Part 3 to my 3-part post with all the new AG items! Before we get started, be sure to read Part 1 and 2 from yesterday and the day before!

This Bouquet Bed and Bedding is cute and all, I really like the bed style, but the price- $213?! Yeah no. My dad can make one of these for me if I really want it that bad. (He made another doll bed for me based on Julie's bed. Thanks Dad!)

Gosh, this Bouquet Nightstand is horrible. Have you seen the price?! You can get a human nightstand for the same price! Plus, we can just use a jewelry box as a nightstand and it is a lot less expensive.

This Dining Table is cute and all, but nothing special. I do really like the chair covers, though.

I know this part of my 3-part post was a little short, but there wasn't much furniture for me to post about. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my 3-part post, I like giving my opinion of these items, even though AG will never read this and even if they do, they won't listen to my opinions and advice.

Did you enjoy this 3-part post? What was your favorite set? Did you agree/disagree with anything I said? Tell me below in the comments!

New AG Items and My Opinion: Part 2

Hey there! I see you're back for Part 2 today! If you didn't read Part 1 yet, be sure to go check it out before you read this!

Hmmm... Isabelle's Makeup Set... this is cute I guess... but it really only teaches girls to paint their faces over and cover up their beautiful natural features. Yeah, I get that Isabelle has to wear makeup for dance, but... I still don't like this set.

The Sunset Sleepover Bag isn't anything special. I don't like the colors, and heck, the suns look like pizzas.

I love the Jewel Highlights Set! I have the Bright Highlights Set, and I think these would be a great addition to my highlight collection.

Really? Accent Braid Clips? Are these really needed? Just braid your doll's hair...

This Doodle Backpack Set is perfect for back-to-school! I love all the colors. I'd love to get this set sometime.

These Trail Accessories aren't anything special. It looks too much like something from Saige's collection. It's nice and all, but I could probably make everything.

The Sunset Sleepover Tent is okay, I'm not crazy about it, though. I could get one for less money ($85? Seriously AG?) that comes with more things from Our Generation at Target.

Once again, this Camp Treats Set isn't anything special. I could make all the food with clay, and get the rest somewhere else for a lot cheaper.

Sure, this Aqua Earring Tree is nice, but I know how to make them.

This Wrap Watch is nice, but I don't have a need for it. I do like this better than their other watches though.

I'm not sure if I like this Violet Heart Watch. It it was a real watch, I think it'd be hard to read, don't you think? And the colors are too girly for me.

These Pets Earrings are cute, but I liked AG's other pet earrings set better. What about you?

I love this Doodle Earrings set! They're so cute- especially the bows! I'm totally getting this set.

I'm glad they came out with this 3-in-1 Ring Set, but it takes away the uniqueness of Saige's ring. I think these rings look cheap and plastic though, so Saige's is a lot nicer. Plus, I can make my own nicer rings for my dolls.

I don't like the new pets. I think they ruined them, they looks like stuffed animals now. And the prices- $28? Really?

I like that they finally came out with collars and leashes. The themed sets (in case you didn't notice, each set matches a certain bed) are cute.

See? The leash matches this pet bed. (The flower set is my favorite, that's why I picked it.) ;) I really like the pet beds, they're very cute. Surprisingly they're less money than the pets.

This Seaside Tote Set is adorable, it would be great in Kanani's collection, don't you think? It's so pretty, and I'd really love to get it. Kanani would love it!

This Beach Chair Set is wonderful too! I love the summery, Hawaiian colors. I'd really like to get this, and again, Kanani would love it. :)

I hope you enjoyed Part 2! Stay tuned for Part 3 tomorrow.

What is your favorite item? Do you agree with what I said? Tell me below in the comments. :)

New AG Items and My Opinion: Part 1

As you probably know, AG just released a bunch of new items. Of course, being the very, very opinionated person I am, I just had to do a post with my opinions of these sets. Now enough chatting, let's get into this post!

First up, we've got this beautiful new doll, MAG #61. I love this doll, and even though she looks a lot like Saige, she's very unique. She'd be good for anyone who wanted Saige, but didn't get her when she was still available. Now, you may be wondering if I'll be purchasing her. No. This is because she has the same wig style as Liz (#55). I may purchase her in the future, but I'd like to get some more variety in my collection before I start purchasing similar dolls.

I think Isabelle's Sparkle Outfit is very cute and pretty, but does she really need another dance outfit in her collection?

I love this Coconut Cutie Outfit! I think it's a very cute combination, and great for mix-and-match.i especially like the skirt, it can be worn for a casual or a formal occasion.

Okay... the Starry Hoodie Outfit... I don't like this at all. It doesn't match one bit, and the shirt looks very tacky. Maybe I'd like it if it was a different color, but it isn't so therefore, I don't like this.

NO! NO! NO! The School Stripes Outfit is not nice at all! Too many stripes, and you just don't wear sneakers with a dress. AG needs some better fashion sense for this one.

Eh... I kind of have mixed feelings about this Bright Stripes Outfit. It's cute and all, but not special enough for me to buy it. Also, it's not something anyone my age would wear these days.

Now this outfit- I like it a lot! It's the Petals and Plaid PJs. I love the design and colors. Also, the off-the-shoulder effect is adorable, with the fake tank top/cami underneath. I think the shirt doesn't have to just be pajamas either, they could be a normal shirt, and that would be adorable.

The 2-in-1 Cheer Gear is cute, I guess. I like how it has the tight long-sleeved shirt and the tight shorts, I think it's very different. But the dress thing is pretty much the same as the other cheerleading set, but it's just another color. I might get this for Liz, we'll see.

This Skateboarding Set is okay. I liked the other one a lot better, though. I mean, what girl wears a dress to go skateboarding? AG needs to realize that there are tomboys out there, too.

Now this Karate Class Set- this is cute. This is something unique from AG, finally. I like it, but Our Generation sells one like this for a fraction of the cost.

Oh, this Sparkly Camp Outfit is adorable! I love this outfit, I'd really like to get it. The off-the-shoulder effect is adorable, and it's not very childish, either. I'm not crazy about the orange and purple together, but I can get past that.

Aww, this Bee Myself Outfit is so cute! I can't get over the cuteness factor of this. It may be a little childish, but WHO CARES! Ahhh it's so cute!

This Sunny Isle Outfit is so cute and modern, I'd love to get this. The shorts especially scream "SUMMER!" and the shirt matches perfectly. And the hair flower is the perfect touch.

I hope you enjoyed reading my opinions about these outfits. Stay tuned for Part 2 tomorrow!

Do you like these outfits? Which one is your favorite? Do you disagree with anything I said? Tell me below in the comments!

Which Doll?

So, as y'all may know, I am saving up for a doll to be purchased later this year. Originally I was going to get Isabelle, but I have been having second thoughts... So I need y'all's opinions! I have some other dolls on my list, so here goes...

1. Caroline- I have been warming up to Caroline ever since she came out. I really love her curls and her eyes are just so beautiful... but the only problem is her curls. Most of my dolls have curly/wavy hair (of course, not that curly). But, I think that she would be a really great addition to my collection, and I would like to have a historical.

2. MAG #40- As a few of you may know, I LOVE anime (Japanese animations) and manga (Japanese comics), so I am a Japanese freak. ;) This doll is Asian (duh) so I could make her Japanese... Which I think would be really cool- she could watch anime, read manga, make and eat sushi... and I could get her some kimonos! :D The problem is... she has dark hair. All of my dolls have brown hair, soooooo.... yeah.

3. Isabelle- Yep, she's still on my list. I love her, but her hazel eyes...no more hazel eyes in this doll family! And... the price. $10 more is a lot for just a hair extension, which I already have ones for Liz and Kanani. She's definitely not the highest on my list.

4. Felicity- Yes, I know she is retired, but I've always had a thing for miss Felicity. I love the colonial time period, and Felicity's collection is really cute (especially her fancy blue dress, absolutely love that). I would probably get her off Ebay, unless she is the doll that AG is un-archiving...

5. Elizabeth- I like Elizabeth, too. Not as much as Felicity, but she is a very pretty doll. I LOVE her meet outfit, too. I like her for the same reasons as Felicity... and I love both of their pin curls. :) I would also get her from Ebay.

That's pretty much all the dolls I would like to choose from, so, as I said before, I really need some help choosing. Tell me which doll you think I should get! Thanks!

My Opinion of GOTY 2014 Isabelle

I know I already told you what my opinion of Isabelle was, I want to update ya'll because I have a completely new opinion.
The blog I saw the new pictures at (you've probably already seen them) doesn't want us to use their pictures (they're nice though!) and it is called Dolly Dorm Diaries, so here's the links to the posts that I'll be talking about. (You might want to open all three in different tabs in your browser before you read this because I might be referencing them.)

First of all, I want to just say straight-out that I would like to save up my money next year to get Isabelle. I like her that much, unless another doll comes out that I like better.
As I said in my other post, my only problem with her is the hazel eyes. As you all know, all my AG dolls have hazel eyes. (Nothing wrong with that, I'd just like some variety.)
What I REALLY REALLY REALLY love about Isabelle is her hair piece. I love hair stuff, especially colored hair things (highlights, etc.). I also really like how her hair looks very cleanly cut. It's also straight, and none of my (AG) dolls have straight hair. I could do lots of hairstyles on her, especially because she's a ballerina and she'd have her hair up in a bun a lot. (Her hair would look GORGEOUS in a bun!)
Her meet outfit's cute too, and she's pretty much one of the only dolls that doesn't come with a dress or skirt.

I think I'm pretty much done telling you everything, and don't be surprised if I add to this or make a completely new and updated post in the future (like this is). You never know who'll get Isabelle next...

Also, I'd like to apologize for the lack of posts this week. I was very busy so I couldn't post as much. It probably still seemed like a lot this week, but I like to post almost every day. I'll try to post tomorrow, too, and get up my Theme Thursday photo for this week.

That's all for now (Oh yeah- 11 days 'til Christmas! Hooray!),

A note...

My mom had a good point- American Girl would not release their GOTY 2014 and let someone sell her on Ebay. Just keep that in mind...
Also, she looks a lot like some other dolls.
I will be doing some more research and will keep you guys posted if I find anything.

_________________________________________________________________________________

Questions, questions...

1. Do you like Isabelle?
2. Do you think this is the real doll?
3. Will you get her?

My answers...

1. Yes, I do like her. I think they could be a little more creative with her, but I do like the hairpiece that makes the ends of her hair look like they are dyed ombre. (Check the video to see it).
2. I am not sure if it is the real doll or a customized one. She sure looks real and fits the descriptions, but I am keeping an eye on this!
2. I would like to get her, yes. it would add some diversity to my collection. But, she does have hazel eyes and all my dolls have green eyes, even Julie. I absolutely LOVE the hairpiece, though, and I need a dancer. (Well, at least a ballet dancer. Kanani does the hula!) Also, I would like to get a historical character first, so I can have a MAG, a GOTY, and a historical.

Happy Dolloween!

P.S. Don't forget to enter the giveaway!

Update- this doll could also be a test model, just so AG can see how the doll will look and if it is a good doll.
