MDT: Kit!

I normally do these in the order that they are requested, but it was requested quite a few times so I decided to do her!

Personally, I think Kit is ADORABLE. I would get her, but since my sister has her already... At least I get to use her sometimes. :) I really love her meet outfit, it is very stylish and works great for modern clothes. Kit has very bright aqua eyes, they really stand out against her skin and hair... and the little sprinkle of freckles across her nose is very cute. And Kit's little bob... it's what she's famous for, and why everyone loves her. ;)

This dress is pretty cute. I really love the design on it, but I think all her dresses are somewhat alike in style... Ah, well! They're all cute! And the touch of red in this dress is very nice. :)

Very cute! I love this dress, and it's only $24! What a great price! May have to get this for my dolls or my sister's Kit... :D

Eh... this is okay... it is cute, I must say... but it isn't really something Kit would wear, she didn't like ruffles and pink, sooooooo....

Yes! And this is adollable too! I would absolutely love to have this, it would be great for travelling! :D The colors are very pretty, and I like the style. The scarf is a very nice accessory. :)

AHHHHH! So cute! This is just... too cute for words. Let's just say we all love this. Am I right, or am I right? (The headband....oooooooooh....)

Grace is so cuuuuuuuuute! An adorable little puppy... just the right size for a dolly.

My sister has this set! I really like it, but there's not much "play value" in it for younger kids. It is great for making stopmotions, though, but I have yet to make one with it.

This scooter is very cute! I love the little place for Grace (hey it rhymes!), but I think that it shouldn't have Kit and Grace's names on it, because what if someone wants to get this and they don't have Kit? What then?!

Well, that's it for this MDT! Hope you liked it! Yes, I realize I did not do all of Kit's collection, but I was shot on time and MDTs don't need to have the whole collection.

MDT: Kanani

You know what time it is... time for another fun MDT! This one is Kanani... my all-time favorite doll! (No offense Liz and Julie.)

I love Kanani! (Obviously, I have her!) She is such a great doll, so unique. Her books are good, too, I have both! I TOTALLY recommend her! Even though this isn't a review... But let's just say that I really like her and if I didn't have her, I'd want to get her.

These are nice, I like them. Barksee is cute and I like the camera a lot. But, a problem I have with this is a lot of the things are paper, and I can make them myself... eek. It's still nice, though.

I like this outfit. I love the colors in Kanani's collection, they're my favorite colors. I like how this comes with the bandanna thing, it looks great in Kanani's hair. I like the ring on the front of the bathing suit, it's a nice detail.

AG was so creative when they made this... it's so cool! The design on the paddle board is phenomenal... I love it! I also really like the life jacket... it's such a cool addition! The map is a cool thing to have, too. And the dolls definitely need the sunscreen- don't need a sun-burnt doll! (Haha!)

Awww... this is a great thing to have in Kanani's collection! It goes with her book, and having the newspaper with it was fun. I personally wouldn't buy this, it's just a stuffed animal, but it's pretty cute.

I love this outfit! it is very casual, but cute! I absolutely love the belt! I wish I had gotten this when it was out. The only thing I don't understand about this outfit is the capris. It's HOT in Hawaii, AG!

Ooo... love it! This was such a cool thing to include for Kanani, and there are so many things you can do with it. The only problem is the PRICE... it was more than the doll. Now that's a problem.

SO CUTE!!! Oh my gosh, Kanani looks so adorable in this, I love it! I think it totally shows her Hawaiian heritage. 

Yes, I love these too! My favorite color (again!). The slippers looks so fuzzy and I like the tank top/tunic idea. I know AG likes to make tunic-like PJ's, and I think they're pretty interesting. (I just wouldn't wear pajamas like that.)

I really like this! The chair looks so comfy... it's also so Hawaiian- ish! (Yep, I make up words.) The ottoman was a very nice accessory to this set, and I think it included storage. 

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!!!! This is my absolute favorite outfit in Kanani's collection, I wish I had this! The dress is the perfect color (haha), the shoes are very fancy and beautiful, and the headband... I love it! This outfit is so wonderful.... no words can express how much I love this. (Well, they can, but... you get what I mean.)

Hmmm.. not sure if I like this.  Kanani never played ukulele in the books, and other than that, there's only food and a box in this set. Kind of bad for $34...

Well, how'd you like today's MDT? I had fun making it, instead of criticizing every single thing like I did in the last MDT I did (McKenna).

MDT: McKenna

Time for another MDT, requested by Jessica!

Hmmm... she's okay. I never really liked McKenna. I don't think AG was very creative when they made her and I was never really into gymnastics. Her meet outfit's not so great either, I think it's a bit weird.

McKenna's accessories are nice. There are lots of everyday things that would be useful for her. My favorite thing in this set is probably the water bottle. It looks real! The trail mix was a good addition, too, but I could probably make it myself. The bag (which is the highlight of the set) is nice, but if someone who didn't have McKenna and their doll didn't do gymnastics, if they got this set, it would be kind of weird. I know it's supposed to go with her personality, but...

Eh, this outfit's okay... I'm not too crazy about that style of sweater and the skirt is so bland... Also, the shoes are very similar to her meet outfit shoes.

This set is nice. I like how they match and you could get it for any doll. I have a doll umbrella (it's not AG) and they're very nice and the dolls can hold them easily. I like the boots, too- they would be fun to use! (I love boots; most of my doll's shoes are boots.)

Finally, an outfit I actually like! I think this dress looks very casual and fancy at the same time, if you get what I mean. The heels are very cute and I like the gem at the center of all the straps. Oh, yes- you can't forget the hair clip! LOVE IT.

Awww! Look at this little puppy! Isn't he just so adorable? He's so unique! I really love him. (Finally)

I have mixed emotions about this outfit. I love the jacket, but the pants are so... plain. The sneakers are nice, too, but there are so many sets of sneakers that AG sells with their outfits that I hardly pay attention.

This outfit is nice, and I like how many combinations you can do with it. I like the little shrug-sweater thingie. The t-shirt is also a nice addition, too. I just think shoes should come with this... 

Okay, I like this, too. The colors are very bright and not too girly. That's another thing- I really like that there's NO PINK in McKenna's collection! Finally, AG! Okay, back to the outfit. I LOVE the ponytail holder. It's so... (what's the word)... festive? The accessories are nice, too, but what is the doll going to do with them?

These are nice. I like the jacket ,but there are too many jackets/sweaters in her collection. The medal is nice, too, but what would she do with it? I find this question coming up a lot with this collection. Oh, yeah- the slippers! They're a good addition to this set.

This was nice when AG came out with it the first time (this time), but now that they recreated it for My American Girl, it's not as special. It is very creative and I like it, but your doll wouldn't be doing gymnastics all the time, would she? So it's a lot of money to spend to use it that little. And there's not that much you could do with it, is there? I don't know too much about gymnastics, so if there is, please tell me.

Yeah... these are okay. I hate how McKenna's little ribbon design is on EVERY SINGLE OUTFIT of hers. I'm not too fond of this baseball tee design, either. 

Oooh! I love this bed! it's so big and awesome and unique and detailed! Since there's so much, I won't bore you by giving my opinion of every single item. The bed itself is very cool- but how does she get up there? There's no ladder, is there? Unless there's an attached one on the hidden side...? I love all the accessories it comes with- a complete bedroom almost! The chair/desk is a nice addition... she can do her homework at night, read a book, then go to bed! I also really like the memo board where she can display all her ribbons and put reminders up. And do you see the sliding door compartment at the bottom of the shelf? I think that's pretty cool. My book shelf is like that... (some trivia to remember!)

This set is good, but AG didn't really need to make a whole new "get better" set just to go with McKenna's story. I do like the signatures on the cast, though.

Well, that concludes another MDT!

MDT: Saige

Time for another MDT! What about doing Saige? (Suggested by Jessica)

Here's our Girl of the Year for 2013! (She won't be here much longer!) I really like Saige, I think she is very pretty and unique. I would like to read her story someday, too. I have mini Saige and I read her little mini book, but it's not the full book. Saige's dress is a very pretty color, though I'm not sure I like the ruffles. (I'm not a ruffle person.)

I like her accessories, but I think there could be more than just jewelry. And $28? Too expensive. And the gold pendant on the blue necklace doesn't even have a design on it! I do like the earrings, though, especially the gold ones.

LOVE THIS OUTFIT! I loved it when it came out. Even if you take the sweater off, it gives the outfit a "cool", (temperature-wise) look. And the shoes! Very cute. They are a bit similar to Kanani's meet outfit shoes.

I like this outfit, especially the gems on the shirt. The colors are nice, and the boots are cute because they have the heel. But what I don't like is that the hats don't come with it. If you want to buy them together, it's $54! Geez, such a ripoff!

This is a very cute outfit. I LOVE the boots (I have so many boots for my dolls!) and the necklace is a nice addition. The dress itself is very sparkly, and I like that. The fabric looks like it's very thin and breezy. If you have this outfit, could you please tell me what it feels like? I want to know. 

This is cute. I really like the shirt, but I think the shoes should be a different color. And the pants are kind of plain.

I think these pajamas are cute. I really like the colors and the design on the shirt. Personally, i don't really like long sleeves being worn with shorts, but I like this combination for pajamas.  And the slippers, they look so fuzzy!

The horse is okay... his color is nice, but I don't like that you have to buy the saddle separately, making the grand total $132! I do like some of the saddle accessories, though. The clicker is nice (although I've never seen a clicker being used for a horse) and the scarf goes with Saige's book.

Ooh, I like this set! It's very detailed, and everything looks realistic! I like the paint on the palette and ho it comes with so many paint brushes. The paintings are nice, too. 

Hmm... not sure I like this. First of all, the price. $24. Yeah. IT'S A DOG. Oh yeah, the leash. Nice addition, but I heard it's not detachable. No dog a wears a leash all the time. The dog itself is cute, but I wouldn't get it.

I think this is a very cool set. The accessories are nice and I think the price is reasonable. (It's $150.) The balloon is so big. I like the camera, it's kind of like the one that came in Kanani's accessories. 

I like this set. The food is unique and the blanket is very New Mexico-ish. I really like the guacamole, it's just like what you get in the restaurants! the water bottle is cool, it looks like it really has water in it! I also like the tamales. now, about the price... $38. Yep, it's too expensive for me.

MDT: Kirsten!

Here goes my first MDT! Thank you Annie for the request!
Here goes... Marisa's Doll Thoughts of Kirsten!

First of all, Kirsten Larson is a very cute doll. I think that she looks better in historical clothes than modern clothes, and I also think her hair looks cuter the way it comes.
I am not a fan of dolls with blond hair, bangs, and regular blue eyes, so I am not really a fan of Kirsten. I must say, her stories do sound interesting and I hope to read them some day.

Since Kirsten is now archived, she doesn't have a current collection, so I'll give you my opinion of some of her outfits.

Kirsten's accessories are ADORABLE. I absolutely LOVE her bonnet (I love bonnets!) and her bag is very cute. The spoon is a cute add-in, but I don't really get the purpose. The necklace is, well, okay, I mean, you could probably make something like this online. And hankies come with lots of dolls and I do not get the purpose. Dolls don't get colds! Ha ha...

This is Kirsten's school dress. I think it is very pretty and goes with her time well. i do think that the colors make it look more like a Christmas dress, though. I really like the shawl, very cute!

OH MY GOSH!!! I cannot express how adorable I think this outfit is! It is so so so so cute! I love how they incorporated this part of her culture/religion into her collection. The wreath is.. oh my gosh. So cute!

The birthday dress is cute, they could have added a pattern, but that's okay. I like the flower crown. This outfit isn't my favorite.

This dress is okay... the red shoes don't match AT ALL! They are too bright. I don't like the buttons going down the front, and the design isn't cute.

I really like this outfit. The skirt is very colorful and the white shirt tones it down so there isn't too much color. The little matching hairbows are a good addition. Adorable!
