Georgia Travel Vlog from Summer 2013

As you (might) know, I also went to Georgia this summer. I made a travel vlog but I haven't had time (well, I did, I just chose not to use it in this way) to post it. But today I finally decided to! So, now you can watch my 28-minute travel vlog from when we went to Helen, Georgia this summer.
Enjoy! (I know it's really long, but it's worth watching!) Click the link below...

Enjoy!

A Photoshoot in the Snow

It snowed today!!! For all of you who normally get snow and are probably thinking, "Oh great. I've had enough of snow!", where I live, we don't get snow normally. So I took this opportunity to do a photoshoot in the snow, because it could be a few years before it snows again here. (The last time it snowed was in 2010!) It wasn't enough to play in or make a snowman, but it was good enough for a photoshoot in my eyes! Take a look at the dolls enjoying the little dusting of snow (but lots of ice!) we got...

(Click on the photos to make them bigger. They look better that way.)

My sister took the following pictures...

Hope y'all enjoyed this photoshoot! Hope you're not getting bored of them. ;) Leave a comment below what your favorite picture was! Have you gotten any snow this winter?

Stay warm!

How to do a Fishtail Braid

Hello, girls! Today I'll be showing you how to do a stylish fishtail braid. Good luck!

_________________________________________________________________

Brush your doll's hair out so it is smooth and free of tangles. If it has tangles, her hair will be a giant mess if you try this hairstyle. (Trust me, I know from experience.)

Separate your doll's hair into two equal sections.

Take a small section of hair from the front of Section 1. Make it smaller if you don't mind that the braid will take longer to do and you want it to look more intricate or take a larger piece if you'd like it to take less time. (It looks great either way.)

Cross it over to Section 2, where it will stay.

Now take a piece (the same size) from the front of Section 2.

Cross it over to Section 1, where it will stay.

Repeat these steps until there's no hair left to braid.

Bring the two ends together,

and secure it with a hair tie.

Ta- da! You've done a fishtail braid!

I hope you enjoyed this hair tutorial. You can use a fishtail braid in any way, not just a simple braid down the back. I'd love to see what you come up with! If you do this hairstyle (or any variation of it) feel free to send me a picture of it at marisasamericangirls@gmail.com.

Happy Hairstyling!

Winner of Outfit of the Week: Week 8 and News

As you can tell, this isn't going to be a normal Outfit of the Week post. It's going to be short and sweet. First of all, here's the winner of Week 8- Juliet XD! Congrats, and great outfit!

Now for the news...
There isn't going to be any more Outfit of the Week. Wait- don't cry yet! This isn't the end of it, it's just a short break. It'll resume again in the spring (March/April) when I can put out the summer clothes.
The reason I'm not doing it anymore is it takes up too much of my time and there's pretty much the same sets of clothes every time for you to pick out of. This results in similar winning outfits.
I'm really sorry I had to do this, but it's not the end. (We're not burning. "If this ends in fire, we burn together!" ~Thorin Oakenshield For all you Lord of the Rings fans out there.)

Sorry,
Marisa

An Apology

Hello, everyone. Haven't talked to you much recently.
I'm really, really sorry I haven't been posting much at all these last two weeks. Some days I haven't had time, while others I just wasn't in the blogging mood.
*PLEASE* accept my apology. I will try my best to do some more frequent posts in the future.  I have some fun ones coming up... :)
I did a photoshoot yesterday, but still haven't had time to upload the pictures to my computer and post them. And yes, Outfit of the Week will be coming up, along with some news about it... stay tuned for that tomorrow.
I feel really bad about not posting, I really love my blog, I just don't know what's up these past few weeks.
I guess there's really nothing else I can say. I'll try my best to post tomorrow.

My Apologies,
Marisa <3

Photos from an Aspiring Photographer

As you all know, my sister has 3 dolls. A couple of weekends ago, she decided to try a photoshoot with her dolls. We all really liked the pictures, and she wanted me to share them with you. Enjoy! (Be sure to read the captions!)
This is her favorite! My sister titles it "Neon Lights" because she likes that song.

There's sophisticated Josefina and cute Natalie!

And there's Kit, taking the picture you saw above!

Kit and Natalie do love their doggies!

Naughty girls... stealing your human's bed! ;)

They're playing hide-and-seek and Kit is counting.

Fun!

BFFs!

Yep... Natalie's pretty flexible.

Huddle!

Isn't this picture cool?

If you see behind him, you will see that Pepper had a little mess.

She made a cute little background for some simple shots... cute! This is Natalie.

Josefina...

Kit!

Dreaming

Circle of meditation!!!

Natalie...

Josefina...

Kit...

That's all the pictures! Did you like them? Which one was your favorite?
