Brush your doll's hair out so it is smooth and free of tangles. If it has tangles, her hair will be a giant mess if you try this hairstyle. (Trust me, I know from experience.)
Separate your doll's hair into two equal sections.
Take a small section of hair from the front of Section 1. Make it smaller if you don't mind that the braid will take longer to do and you want it to look more intricate or take a larger piece if you'd like it to take less time. (It looks great either way.)
Cross it over to Section 2, where it will stay.
Now take a piece (the same size) from the front of Section 2.
Cross it over to Section 1, where it will stay.
Repeat these steps until there's no hair left to braid.
Bring the two ends together,
and secure it with a hair tie.
Ta- da! You've done a fishtail braid!
I hope you enjoyed this hair tutorial. You can use a fishtail braid in any way, not just a simple braid down the back. I'd love to see what you come up with! If you do this hairstyle (or any variation of it) feel free to send me a picture of it at email@example.com.
