In her box...

Her whole body view in the box...

About Isabelle...
  • She is a ballet dancer.
  • They are filming the movie right now... click for cast.
  • The code name they use for her is Blanche Palmer.
  • More pictures of her...
_________________________________________________________________________________

A note...

My mom had a good point- American Girl would not release their GOTY 2014 and let someone sell her on Ebay. Just keep that in mind...
Also, she looks a lot like some other dolls.
I will be doing some more research and will keep you guys posted if I find anything.

_________________________________________________________________________________

Questions, questions...

1. Do you like Isabelle?
2. Do you think this is the real doll?
3. Will you get her?

My answers...

1. Yes, I do like her. I think they could be a little more creative with her, but I do like the hairpiece that makes the ends of her hair look like they are dyed ombre. (Check the video to see it).
2. I am not sure if it is the real doll or a customized one. She sure looks real and fits the descriptions, but I am keeping an eye on this!
2. I would like to get her, yes. it would add some diversity to my collection. But, she does have hazel eyes and all my dolls have green eyes, even Julie. I absolutely LOVE the hairpiece, though, and I need a dancer. (Well, at least a ballet dancer. Kanani does the hula!) Also, I would like to get a historical character first, so I can have a MAG, a GOTY, and a historical.

P.S. Don't forget to enter the giveaway!

Update- this doll could also be a test model, just so AG can see how the doll will look and if it is a good doll.

New AG Places in Canada

Live in Canada and like AG? You're in luck! American Girl just announced that they will be opening two stores in Canada in Spring 2014. They will be stores within stores, but that's just as good! I am glad for the people who live in Canada and love AG (aka girloftheyearstudios). They will be opening one in Toronto and I forget where else. Check Doll Diaries for more info!
Do you live in Canada? Are you close to the new stores? Where do you want AG to open a store?
I wish there was one where I live!
Don't forget, Dolloween tomorrow! I am sorry, but my video will not come out tomorrow. I haven't had enough time to finish it yet. But, it will come out eventually.
Don't forget- the last day to enter the giveaway is Saturday November 2!

Happy Halloween,

Liz's Birthday tomorrow!

Guess what tomorrow is... Liz's Birthday! So, we have to celebrate it! I will be making a post tomorrow morning to celebrate! Please come leave a comment wishing her a happy 13th birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZ!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I can't wait for tomorrow, Kanani!" Liz said.
 "Shhhh! You'll wake up Julie!" exclaimed Kanani. "She goes to bed too early anyway," Liz replied.
 "I wonder what I'll get tomorrow," said Liz. "It's going to be my first birthday here with you guys!"
 "Well I am going to bed. I am SO tired," Kanani said. "Okay! See you in the morning!" came the reply.
 Liz decided she would shut off her light and go to bed too. She couldn't wait till tomorrow!
So Liz snuggled up in her bed and went to sleep, dreaming of tomorrow.
I hope you enjoyed my photo story! See you tomorrow! Look out for the birthday pictures...
Monthly Doll Finds: October
At the beginning of each month, I am going to make a post called Monthly Doll Finds. It will include all the doll- sized things that I have found and/or made. This is the first one, October! With no further ado, here are my monthly doll finds for October...
I made this mini paintbrush by cutting a normal one to the length I wanted and smoothing the edge out with a nail file.
I put his highlight in Kanani's hair. I bought it at Claire's a few months ago and decided to put it in Kanani's hair. I just connected it to a bottom layer of hair and curled her hair with the highlight to curl it.
I made these marshmallows out of packing peanuts. I cut curved ones and put them in mini plastic bags. I drew on pieces of paper that I taped onto the bag to make labels.
My mom found these at Target and thought they were the perfect size for our dolls and bought them for me.
I made this bracelet to look like the ones people make with the Rainbow Loom. I don't have the Rainbow Loom, though, because I know how to make them without the loom.
One of my friends let me have this mini card pack that she got at Walmart. She doesn't know I have dolls, but I thought it was cute and she let me have it. So now I don't have to buy one of the Uno or Apples-to-Apples mini card packs that they sell at Dollar General!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

That's all for now! Hope you enjoyed seeing all my doll finds for the moth of October and you look forward to next month's finds. I certainly do. I can't wait to see what cool doll sized stuff I will accommodate next month!

Happy October!

Help Mia get an American Girl Doll!

There is a little 6 year old girl, Mia, who was diagnosed with brain cancer in September 2013. One YouTuber, stephenswodadancer, has decided that she is going to collect money to buy Mia an AG doll! I think this is a wonderful idea, because what would cheer me up if I was in Mia's place would be my American Girl dolls!
Click here for the video with all the information you need to know.
Sarah (stephenswodadancer) set up a website where you can donate money to Mia. She already has enough money for the doll, but Sarah is also buying accessories and donating the rest of the money to little Mia's family. Click here to go to this website.
If you don't have any money to donate, you can send a gift or even just a letter to Mia. Anything would cheer her up, I'm sure. Just send an email to Sarah. To email her, click here.
Be sure to watch the video if you are interested! I am sure we will make a big difference in Mia's life. Please keep her in your prayers and try to help any way you can. We are a community, and our dolls unite us. What we can do is use our love of dolls to make a difference in another girl's life.

Here is a picture of little Mia! Isn't she cute?

Just... computers, dolls, events... UPDATES

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been busy and haven't had much time on a computer and I've had nothing to post about. First of all, I will be getting my own computer soon and when I do, I will post SO MUCH MORE! I will try to post at least two or three times a week, hopefully more. Volleyball season is coming to an end, so I will have more time at night after school. Also, I will have a single computer to save pictures to so I will always have access to all my stuff. Before, I had all my things saved on multiple computers, so now... yeah. Also, this Saturday there is an AG event at my local Barnes and Noble. Check your local B&N's website to see if you do, too! This is what the page says: "Please join us for a special American Girl themed event. Dress up and bring your favorite doll if you like, and join us for fun activities and crafts." I think I will bring Liz because the last time I went to something like this I brought Kanani (I didn't have Liz yet, so of course). I will try to bring my camera so I can take pictures for you, and post them. BIG NEWS!!! I finished editing the Georgia travel vlog! I know it's been a long time, so I will post it as soon as I can. It's 30 minutes long, but it is AWESOME! Keep checking for more! One last thing... IT'S OCTOBER!!! That means it's almost time for... DOLLAWEEN! I need to make a Dollaween AGSM (American Girl Stop Motion), and I need some ideas! Comment yours below and your idea might be turned into a video! I think that's all the news I have for now, so make sure you check back for more! Happy blogging, Marisa
